Green Day! surprise surprise, everyone! Here it is. Basically, this is my first try-so-hard-at-colored-pencils-I-think-I-just-colored-over-an-atom attempt. It took me a while, and I'd say much of it is inspired from 's work with colored pencils. Check out her gallery, she's amazzinngg. Anyway, since I envy her awesome skills with color, I decided to try my hand at it. If I do say so myself, it didn't turn out half as bad as I expected it to. I fudged my very first attempt at the lineart stage. (I started too high, and Mike's head wouldn't fit) so I traced the lines I had onto another piece of paper, and lower so I didn't run into the same issue again. and poof! this magical little dwarf fairy streaked through my house throwing sparkles everywhere. (no, seriously, it just took me the span of about a 3 weeks, because I kept stopping and starting on it again.) Soo..here we have it, folks! From left to right : Mike Dirnt, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Tre Cool. time taken: pff..I don't know. materials used: colored pencils..um..yeah. and I tried using some white charcoal, but meh. it didn't have the effect I wanted. done in my LARGE (14x17inches, people!!) sketchbook. my scanner couldn't handle this so I had to take a picture.
XD IT LOOKS AWESOME NYX! The skin looks really well blended, tnd he shirts are ok, but yeah..Thats black pencil for ya......Man.....it looks so cool....And it took 3 weeks? procrastinaaaatteeeeeee.....lol You should take a picture of your MCR one too...I like that one...;D

Yeaah, I'm seeing a lot of improvement in this one compared to the MCR one. Really.
The only problem I'm seeing is ... Tre? Yes, Tre's eye. You're drawing the one farthest away from the "camera" to the faceline. What I mean is, it looks like the eye was just painted onto his face instead of being a whole different thing. Remember that the eyeball is a sphere and you should draw it as though it's one instead of just something painted on someone's skin. So... I might be wrong here, but it looks pretty flat to me. And the shading is kind of awkward. You could shade with deeper darker colors here and there, and it's hard to tell where the lightsource is exactly.
Anyway, other than that, I can't find much to crit. Whaa? Maffin, not over critting a picture? Wow! That means you done good.
I love it, though. You and realism is like.. .... something that goes well with something else. : D Great job coloring with pencils, those are hard to master :3
thank you darling, and yes, that's Tre. So the eyeball needs shading..mkay. and a lightsource. alrighty, I can keep those in mind. :3 and I go with realism like an octopus goes with the KRAKEN! *rawr*

i think you done a wonderful job, your attention to detail is excellent, especially in the hair, facial features and shading of the faces, you've really captured them all wonderfully, especially mister armstrong
